Horseshoe Bay Police Chief Bill Lane was a police chief in New Mexico with a second home in Horseshoe Bay. When he was just about to retire from his New Mexico job, he saw that Horseshoe Bay was looking to create a police department, so he applied.

He’s set to retire for good in September.
